Ana Iti




Ana Iti (Te Rarawa) is a contemporary artist based in Ōtepoti, and soon to be based in Ōtautahi. Iti’s practice encompasses sculpture, video, text, historical research and personal narratives. She studied sculpture at Canterbury University’s Ilam School of Fine Arts in 2012, and completed her Master of Fine Arts at Toi Rauwharangi Massey University in 2018. Recent accolades include the McCahon House residency in 2020, Swallowing Geography at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki commissioning takoto / to lay down(2020) as part of Toi Tū Toi Ora: Contemporary Māori Art at the Gallery.
