Tjalling de Vries
Tjalling de Vries is a Gallery technician at Christchurch Art Gallery by day, and an artist by night (and also day). Based in Christchurch, de Vries graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking at Ilam in 2005 and went on to do a Masters of Fine Arts (Distinction) in Painting in 2011.
His work ruminates on the formal characteristics of objects and the mechanics of performative actions. He has been consistently exhibiting in group and solo shows and his work is held in a number of public and private collections around Aotearoa.
